Prince Ea had a message for the future generation on the Earth Day 2015: “Sorry.

Within this six minute wake-up call, the rapper and passionate activist addresses everything around climate change from the destruction of the rainforest, the extinction of trees, animals and the human mindset.

Trees are destroyed to make money for some imaginary “economic welfare” while destroying the very basis of our lives: Breathable Air and nature.

Although it is simple to understand, current economic education and action still play in the illusion that we are all disconnected from earth and our environment.

Quality of life and a solid health doesn’t mean money and the illusion of power for some people, but a clean environment, fresh air, organic food for everybody.

This mindset issue goes far beyond climate change, as this paradoxical idea has also infiltrated all major areas and industries of human life on earth. Chris Hedges said: “We now live in a nation where doctors destroy health, lawyers destroy justice, universities destroy knowledge, governments destroy freedom, the press destroys information, religion destroys morals, and our banks destroy the economy.”

“We are not apart from nature, but we are a part of nature.” Prince Ea raps. This about the very foundation, how humans are interacting with one another and our planet.

Another remarkable call-to-action came from the  Youth Director of Earth Guardians, Xiuhtexcatl Roske Martinez, a 15 year old indigeneous climate activist. This speech was held in New York at the United Nations General Assembly for climate change at UN Headquarters on June 29th 2015. Xiuhtezcatl who lives on Colorado and was raised in the Aztec tradition and fights for climate change since the age of six.

So what needs to happen next ? First change the mindset, then the priorities and then right actions will follow.

As long as there is more appreciation for digits on a bank account than clean biosphere, we have work to do.

Let’s get it going and spread the message!
